Vintage Kimono in Red and Black Floral Silk

A beautiful vintage kimono in red and black silk, with Japanese floral motif, and vertical rippled stripe effect.

Fully lined in silk.

Provenance:  This kimono is from the collection of a former lecturer in textiles, who accumulated his treasured pieces during extensive travels in the middle and Far East in the late 1960s - early 1970s.  Unfortunately the paper records have been lost, so no more information is now available.

Length: 158cm

Condition:  small moth hole in hem of lining.  Item has been treated.
