An absolutely amazing hand made folk tunic, of unknown origin (possibly Greece) and vintage, in natural woven cotton with beautiful embroidery in thick red cotton yarn.
Comprising a peasant style smocked top onto which a cotton above the knee skirt panel has been hand sewn at a later date.
The neck is gathered onto a strip of green embroidered braid and slit open with delicate cream embroidered motif to the front. Raglan sleeves, gathered at the elbow and bordered in blue stitching. The bodice is beautifully embroidered in thick red yarn.
