Vintage Child's Kimono in Black and White Jacquard Silk with Embroidered Eagle

A striking child's kimono of unknown vintage, in black and white silk with geometric jacquard pattern. 

Stunning design to back, of a majestic eagle, embroidered in gold thread. Two long ties at the front.

Fully lined.  

Provenance:  This kimono is from the collection of a former lecturer in textiles, who accumulated his treasured pieces during extensive travels in the middle and Far East in the late 1960s - early 1970s.  Unfortunately the paper records have been lost, so no more information is now available.

Condition:  some foxing / discolouration as shown.  Priced accordingly and sold as seen.
