Valentino Beaded Lace Party Dress, UK8

An incredible beaded lace mini dress by Valentino, from the 2017 Resort collection, which was inspired by the rich cultural influences of Cuba.

The dress embodies the intricate workmanship of the Valentino ateliers, with an A-line skirt, densely covered with lightweight wooden beads painted in glorious colours of predominantly red, green and gold, laid out in a tribal pattern with metallised thread embroidery thrown in.

The bodice is made of a fine lace gauze embroidered with tiny beads in graphic flower pattern, and geometric lines. It is sheer to the bust and lined below.  The dress is otherwise of simple design, with a round neck, centre back zip, long sleeves and A line mini skirt.
