Vintage Ruched Cocktail Dress in Black Crepe with Appliqué Detail, UK8

A wonderfully chic cocktail dress of unknown vintage, possibly 1950s or even as early as 1920s, in ultra fine black crepe, excellent condition.

Sleeveless, with wide neck and finely ruched bodice to the waist.  Curved panels at the hip, with the skirt gently gathered to just above knee length.  Gorgeous appliqué detail to right hip, made of net, felt and braid. Back zip.
