Vintage Hermes Silk Scarf, "Brides de Gala", Hugo Grygkar 1976
A fabulous large vintage silk square or carré by Hermes, from an original 1957 design by Hugo Grygkar (1907-1959) one of their most popular and prolific artists, who designed over 100 carrés for Hermès.
This one was a reissue in 1976. This design depicts a pair of ceremonial bridles in black leather and gold, with a black edge and hand rolled hem; it has become one of the most iconic Hermes squares ever.
