A gorgeous 1970s vintage dress by AnnaBelinda of Oxford, in ivory Chinese shantung - possibly Liberty print - silk with red and orange floral motif.
This beautifully made garment has a quilted bodice in ivory silk, with tiny covered looped buttons up to a high collar. The dress flares out from the bodice to a wide quilted hem just below the knee. It has long gathered sleeves whose cuffs are also quilted, with looped buttons. Side zip fastening, fully lined.
AnnaBelinda was founded in the 1970s, and became notorious when Howard Marks revealed in his autobiography, Mr Nice, that the shop had unwittingly served as a front for his cannabis trafficking.
