An unusual and glamorous evening top in shimmery black brocade embossed with glittering lozenges, undated, from the archive of film costume designer Annie Symons. The top is handmade from beautiful vintage fabric, and has a slashed neck and dramatic long sleeves which are slashed down their length and fastened at the upper arm and shoulder by attractive large domed buttons with what look like faceted jet insets.
It is beautifully fitted to hip length, has a long zip down the back and is fully lined with black silk.
