A wonderful 1980s vintage coat by Bill Gibb in a fine woven wool fabric of textured rectangles of purple, shades of dark green and blue on predominantly navy blue ground.
It is straight cut, loose fitting to below the knee. It has a deep V front with huge pointed asymmetric collar down to waist. Padded shoulders, full sleeves narrowing to a pleated cuff. 2 button fastening.
It has a detachable full squared off cape lined with pale violet silk, which attaches under the collar to two buttons on the front with braid. Scroll detail on the back.
Side pockets. Fully lined with navy blue silky fabric with internal tie belt.
