AnnaBelinda Vintage Summer Dress with Floral Print, UK10-12
A glorious floaty summer dress by AnnaBelinda of Oxford, c.1970s, in black voile with vivid floral design.
The dress is sleeveless with two broad straps forming a deep V at the bust, fastening with covered silk buttons. There is a broad band below the bust, and from here the skirt flares out to mid calf in a series of vertical panels. The dress fastens at the side in a long row of 22 silk covered buttons. Fully lined.
The AnnaBelinda label was founded in the 1970s, and the shop became notorious when Howard Marks revealed in his autobiography, Mr Nice, that the premises had unwittingly served as a front for his cannabis trafficking.
