AnnaBelinda Vintage Liberty Print Summer Dress, UK10
A glorious vintage summer dress by AnnaBelinda of Oxford, 1970s, in contrasting floral Liberty prints, predominantly in blues and pinks.
It is sleeveless, with a characteristic quilted bib in blue floral fabric to just below the bust, U shaped neck and all edged with striped piping, ending with long ties at the side. The main body of the dress is in a beautiful pale pink, yellow and blue floral pattern; the skirt is A line to below knee length, and is finished with a panel of quilted blue fabric to match the bib. The dress fastens with striped covered buttons all down its length. Fully lined with concealed side pockets.
The label is missing but the owner has identified it as being by AnnaBelinda. The label was founded in the 1970s, and the shop became notorious when Howard Marks revealed in his autobiography, Mr Nice, that the premises had unwittingly served as a front for his cannabis trafficking.
